Butler Bulldogs vs Uconn Huskies in 2011 NCAA Championship Game

The game features two teams that struggled at points during the regular season but both have peaked at the right time. Connecticut enter the final with a 31-9 record and winners of 10 straight games although there was a time when their season looked like a write-off. UCONN actually lost four of their last five games of their regular season before sweeping through the Big East tournament, their region in the March Madness draw, and now possibly the Final Four.

Let us take a look at each of the teams and try to make a prediction. The Huskies, with a 30-9 record is 3rd seed in the West Region. The top player of the Huskies is Kemba Walker, he has done a lot to bring the Huskies through the long and grueling journey to the finals. The Huskies have been champions twice in the past, in 1999 and 2004. Will 2011 their year again?

The Bulldogs on the other hand is the number 8 seed in the Southeast Region and has a record of 27-9. If the Huskies has a Kemba Walker, the Bulldogs has a Shelvin Mack who scored 24 points in the Final Four game last Saturday against the VCU Rams. This is the second chance for the Bulldogs to get a shot at the championship, last year the Duke Blue Devils defeated them.

Don't miss this exciting game on Monday, I am sure that this will be a very tight game so watch out for it.
