MANILA, Philippines – Television host Boy Abunda received post-Valentine gifts from his famous godchild, Charice. During his show, "Showbiz News Ngayon," Abunda shared that he got a talking teddy bear, chocolates with a big Valentine's card from the international singing sensation Charice Pempengco.
"Bago magsimula ang palabas ay nakatanggap po tayo ng regalo mula sa aking inaanak na si Charice Pempengco, bear, chocolates and card," Abunda said on Wednesday.
Abunda even opened the card and showed it to his co-host Bianca Gonzalez.
"At isang katibayan, 'ninong Boy.' Ibig sabihin ninong, ninang niya si Oprah (Winfrey), so mag-ano kami ni Oprah?" Abunda asked Gonzalez in jest.
Gonzalez immediately replied, "Kumareng Oprah." Kidding aside, Abunda said he is happy and proud of Charice.
"Napakasarap ng pakiramdam na bahagi kami, tayong lahat, ng paglalakbay ni Charice. Kung nasaan man siya ngayon, kasama po tayo bilang bayan and we are proud of her," Abunda said.
The TV-host also divulged that, aside from him, Charice also gave her godmother, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, post-Valentine gifts.
